Enrollment

New student enrollment is for any student, including Kindergartners who are new to the district. Follow the steps below to begin the enrollment process.

• Click here to request a New Student Online Enrollment portal account. 
  • If you currently have a child enrolled in an MISD school and you need to complete online enrollment for your NEW child, complete this through your Skyward Family Access account. 
• Log in and select the option to enroll a student.
• Proceed with the application.
• Provide the required documents electronically. Be prepared to upload your ID, the student’s birth certificate, social security card, current immunization records, and proof of residency.
  • Proof of residency could be any one of the following:
    • Current utility bill (gas, water, electricity only)
    • Current lease agreement signed by parent/guardian and the leasing party
    • Builder’s contract signed by parent/guardian and the builder
  • Electronic uploads can be copies or photos of documents
  • Withdrawal papers from previous districts are not required but are encouraged if you have them.
  • Other documents could be needed depending on your student’s specific situation: 504 or Special Education, legal guardianship documentation, fostercare paperwork, legal name change documentation, adoption paperwork, other legal paperwork.
  • Please contact your campus if you have questions about documentation.
• Once you submit, the campus registrar will contact you if additional information is needed.

• Log in to your Skyward Family Access account.
• Click “Returning Student Enrollment” and select the student for re-enrollment.
• Proof of residency is required if an address change has occurred.

NOTE: If your child is not listed in your Skyward Family Access account, or the campus is incorrect, please contact the campus. If your child was previously enrolled at MISD, contact the campus your child will attend to reactivate your Skyward Family Access account.

Applications must be submitted through Apply Midland. Once the transfer or application is accepted, then the student must enroll.
