Nomination process lasts through October

ctober 3, 2023 — Midland ISD is excited to announce a streamlined process for nominating students for placement in Gifted and Talented (G/T) services from kindergarten through grade 12, including Carver Center. The new nomination process includes several enhancements meant to simplify the application and assessment process for students and families.

"This new application process through Project Education simplifies the process for all families," said Advanced Academic Services Director Judy Bridges. "Families who have applied in the past will immediately notice the changes. Parents of applicants will receive additional information regarding testing in early November.”

Applications are open to students currently in grades K-11 and can be submitted throughout the month of October. All public, private, charter, and home school students residing in the MISD attendance area are invited to apply. The application form can be accessed on the MISD G/T & Advanced Academics webpage (midlandisd.net/gt) through the end of October. Late applications will not be accepted, so be sure to apply this month.
