Superintendent Ramsey to Host Community Stakeholder Meetings

April 9, 2021 — Superintendent Angélica Ramsey will host a series of community stakeholder meetings to engage members of the Midland community and get their feedback about what they view are Midland ISD's strengths and challenges.
"The third goal of my entry plan is to establish public trust and confidence through open, honest communication and positive relationships among stakeholder groups," Ramsey said.
The MISD Superintendent plans to briefly share her observations thus far but wants the focus of the meeting to be on listening. "I would like to hear where you believe MISD is doing well, where we need improvement, and your ideas for problem solving," she said.
All meetings will take place at 5:30 p.m. and are expected to last about an hour. Dates and locations are as follows:
  • April 14 at Emerson Elementary, 2800 Moss Ave.
  • April 22 at Franks Elementary, 401 E. Parker Ave.
  • April 27 at Greathouse Elementary, 5107 Greathouse Ave.
  • May 3 at South Elementary, 200 W. Dakota Ave.
Ramsey's community stakeholder meetings are part of her larger plan to engage with students, parents, teachers, district leadership teams, central office staff, principals, local college and university administrators, professional associations and community faith and business leaders.
