Early Childhood Program applications available

March 13, 2019 — The MISD Early Childhood Program has released the application timeline for entrance in the 2019-2020 PreK school year.  
The MISD Early Childhood Programs are for:
  • Children that turn 4 years of age on or before September 1, 2019
  • Children who live in the Midland Independent School District; and
Meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
  • Children from low income families or receiving public assistance
  • Children with limited English language
  • Children who are in or have been in foster care
  • Children in an active military family
  • Children whose parent was injured or killed while serving in the military
  • Children who are homeless
  • Children of a Star of Texas Award recipient
Families may contact the MISD Early Childhood Office at 432-240-1530 for questions about eligibility. Students eligible for the program attend classes at area neighborhood elementary school campuses.
Beginning March 18, application packets will be available for pick-up from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during school days at the MISD Central Administration building, 615 W. Missouri Avenue, Suite 401. When the application is picked up, a documentation list will be provided and an appointment will be scheduled with the family for eligibility determination and enrollment.
