General guidelines

All standard attire clothing may be purchased only one size larger than the student currently wears to allow for growth. No visible logos or labels are allowed on any part of the uniform except shoes. No oversized clothing is allowed. No tight fitting clothing is allowed. All clothing must be hemmed. No torn, cut, or ripped clothing is allowed. All Standard Attire clothing will follow the MISD Student Code of Conduct dress code. Shirts must be tucked in at all times.

Students that violate the dress code are issued consequences through the Assistant Principals’ office. Any item not specifically addressed will be left to the discretion of the building administrator.

Before You Buy

Parents are ultimately responsible for making sure their child follows the Standard Attire Policy. If you are in doubt or have any questions about the Standard Attire Policy, please call 432-689-1770.

Pants, shorts, and skirts
are to be a solid tan, black, or navy blue color, khaki twill fabric (not denim) in the style of fitted (not baggy/skin-tight legging style) straight legged dress pants worn at the waist. Shorts/skirts must be no more than three inches above the knee while standing, measured from the top of the slit on a skirt if present. No cargo pockets or carpenter styles. No stretch material. No denim or jean

Belts are optional. Belts worn to school must be solid black or brown. Belts must be in the belt loops with pants,skirts, and shorts that have belt loops. 
(Belts and belt buckles are at the discretion of campus administration)

Shirts must be polo style or oxford style, in solid white, grey, royal blue, black, orange, or navy. Shirts must be long enough to stay tucked in. Shirts must be buttoned. No more than the top two buttons on a shirt may be left unbuttoned. Turtlenecks may only be worn under the standard uniform collared shirt. Only a solid white, grey, navy, royal blue,orange, or black T-shirt/undershirt may be worn under the uniform shirt.


During cool weather as solid white, grey, royal blue, black, orange,or navy sweatshirt or sweater may be worn over the uniform shirt with the uniform shirt collar showing. Sweatshirts must not have hoods, zippers, or logos. Coats and jackets may only beworn before and after school and lunch or as approved by administration.


On Mondays, A college shirt may be substituted for the regular uniform shirt.

On Fridays, a Bonham spirit shirt or Lee Rebel spirit shirt may be substituted for the regular uniform shirt.
