Welcome back to another great year at MAP! We hope you find the following highlights helpful.  Complete information may be found in the MAP Parent and Student Handbook. Please don't hesitate to contact us at 432-240-4700 if we may be of any assistance to you.
 
Orientation:
Both the Parent(s)/Guardian(s) and their Student participate in Orientation before a student attends MAP. For your convenience, we are developing an Orientation Video that you and your child may view. Please view the Orientation Video. Also, and electronic form needs to be completed. Form.
 
Tardy Procedure:
The student entrance is located at the South of the building, off of Indiana. If your student will arrive at 9:00 AM or after, please use the North entrance off of Missouri and Accompany your student inside. Please call the office at 240-4700 if you need assistance.
 
If your child will be absent: Please contact MAP at 432-240-4700 by 9:00 AM.
 
MAP Standard Attire For All Students Overview:
 
All students wear black, blue, or khaki colored pants, shorts, skirts or black, blue, or khaki colored jeans that do not have overly large pockets, cargo pockets, shreds, tears, patches, or holes. Pants need to be fitted at the waist to prevent sagging. Excessively tight or short pants/shorts/skirts/yoga pants/leggings, gym shorts/gym wear are not school appropriate attire. Wearing shorts, tights, and/or leggings under the pants is also not school appropriate.
 
Students wear shoes designed for outdoor wear such as tennis shoes (laces need to be kept laced/tied for safety), sandals, boots, etc. For safety/health reasons, students should not remove their shoes or trade shoes with other students.  Shoes designed for indoor wear, have cleats, have wheels/skates attached, or have steel toes present a safety hazard and should not be worn to MAP.

 

In periods of cool weather, students may wear outer garments to school. These items will be searched and then placed in plastic bins to be returned to the student during dismissal. Please see the dismissal procedures in the Handbook for further information.

MAP Standard Attire for DAEP Students: 

DAEP students wear a plain black shirt or blouse, with or without a collar. Undershirts, if worn, may be any color without designs, images, or writing. Sleeveless shirts, strapless shirts, hooded shirts, shirts with pockets, shirts that are tightly form-fitting, can be seen through, low-cut, show the midriff, contain images/illustrations, have holes, tears, shreds, or patches are not school appropriate attire.

If a student feels cold in the building, he/she may wear a parent-provided plain black sweatshirt or sweater without pockets or hoods.

MAP Standard Attire for DDAEP Students:

DDAEP Students wear a plain white shirt or blouse, with or without a collar. Undershirts, if worn, may be any color without designs, images, or writing. Sleeveless shirts, strapless shirts, hooded shirts, shirts with pockets, shirts that are tightly form-fitting, can be seen through, low-cut, show the midriff, contain images/illustrations are not school appropriate attire.

If a student feels cold in the building, he/she may wear a parent-provided plain white sweatshirt or sweater without pockets or hoods.

What Students May Bring with Them to MAP:

Students may bring no more than $5.00 in cash, a wallet, and/or house/car keys. All other items are unnecessary and will only be returned to a parent/guardian. The parent/guardian will be notified of any cash over $5.00, and it will be kept in a secured location until the parent/guardian is able to pick it up. Please call MAP to schedule an appointment to pick up any items.

Items that have not been picked up by the last day of school may be discarded and/or donated.
