• Principal’s Message

Welcome to Lee High School. Lee is a school of a diverse student body which reflects our community and has a staff that cares for their students.  Academically, our expectation is “Learning is Required by All”.  Students are expected to be engaged in the learning process and show a demonstration of learning.  Our staff has developed a growth mindset and is engaged in the collaborative process of developing engaging lessons to help students achieve their academic goals.  Lee is proud of the contributions our students make in academics, fine arts, athletics, and other extra-curricular activities.  All students are encouraged to get involved with a team, a group, an organization or a club on our campus.  The high school experience is made more meaningful when students are engaged in the classroom, as well as in some other activity.

As principal at Lee, I want to encourage our parents to update the information in your student’s file so you can stay informed.  Every week administration does a callout informing parents of upcoming events and activities.  The Lee High PTSA is always looking for more members to join and get involved.  The Fine Arts and Athletic Teams have Booster Clubs for parents to join as a way to get involved with your student’s activities.  Parent support and involvement are encouraged.  Our students and school face many challenges in today’s world.  We need our parents and I want to encourage you to reach out and find a way to be a part of your child’s education.

My door is always open, but my days are busy. If I’m not in my office, I can usually be reached if you need to meet with me.  My email is stan.vanhoozer@midlandisd.net and the phone number to my office is 432-689-1610. We are looking forward to a great school year in 2019-20.  Please follow us on Twitter @MidlandLee.
