College Board National Recognition programs highlight the hard work of first-generation college-bound students, as well as, African American, Hispanic, Indigenous, and students from rural or small towns. These honors provide students with opportunities to be identified by colleges and scholarship programs through the College Board’s Student Search Service.
To qualify for these awards, students must:
- Score in the top 10% of their state on the PSAT/NMSQT or PSAT 10 OR score a 3 or higher on at least two AP exams.
- Maintain a GPA of 3.3.
- Attendance in a school in a rural area or small town or self-identification as first-generation, African American/Black, Hispanic American/Latino, or Indigenous/ Native.
