Civitas Resources Donates 630 Winter Coats to a MISD School

Every student at Henderson Elementary receives a coat through Operation Warm

October 23th, 2024 – Civitas Resources partners with the Education Foundation of Midland to donate 630 winter coats to Henderson Elementary school through Operation Warm.

Operation Warm aims to ensure that children have access to the proper outerwear for school during the winter months.

"We are excited to collaborate with Operation Warm to provide these essential coats to the students at Henderson Elementary," Civitas Resources CEO, Chris Doyle said. "We believe that every child deserves to feel warm and confident, and this initiative reflects our commitment to supporting local families and enhancing the quality of life in the communities where we work."

Civitas Employees will distribute coats to the students during a special event at Henderson Elementary School, 4800 Graceland Drive in Midland on Thursday, October 24th at 8:45 AM.

Operation Warm has successfully provided over 3 million coats to children across the United States, helping to ensure that no child goes without proper winter clothing. This partnership with Civitas Resources highlights the importance of community collaboration in addressing local needs.

"We are thrilled to partner with Civitas Resources at Henderson Elementary," said Maxine Gonzales, Henderson Principal. “This shows us how much people care about helping meet the needs of our students by providing warmth in the upcoming winter months. Many of our students walk to school and this generous donation ensures they are warm every day. It also takes one expense off of the parents with the holidays just around the corner. We are incredibly grateful for your kindness and commitment to our community.”

“This donation from Civitas will not only provide a warm coat for all of our students, but it also serves as a heartfelt demonstration of support from our community," said Karina Camacho, Henderson Counselor. "Henderson is truly grateful for the opportunity to partner with Civitas to give our students this meaningful gift.”
