Midland Senior High is a 6A comprehensive high school serving grades 9-12. At Midland Senior High, we are committed to ensuring all students are college, career, and life ready. We offer a variety of courses including on-level and AP core curriculum, dual-credit and career-prep courses. Our students enjoy many extracurricular and athletic opportunities to round out their Midland Senior High experience. Through athletics, visual and performing arts, career, technology and agricultural programs, our students can showcase their talents to the community in various creative ways.w.

Midland ISD Closer to Cleaner Air on Campuses
Midland ISD is upgrading its heating, cooling and air purification systems. The district plans to begin replacing HVAC systems before the start of the next school year, thanks in large part to a federal grant.

35 MISD Musicians Earn All-Region Honors
A total of 35 MISD students from Midland and Legacy High Schools have been named to the All-Region Orchestra. Additionally, four were also honored as "First Chair" for their respective instruments.

MHS tennis captain honored by WTTA

MISD to install LED lighting district-wide
The Midland ISD Board of Trustees has given the green light to new, cost-saving LED lighting throughout the district. The project will include retrofitting all existing fluorescent and incandescent lighting both inside and outside.

MISD launches space-themed science program
Midland ISD is excited to announce the launch of a new program aimed at exposing students to aerospace, aeronautics, and space exploration. Go For Launch! uses space exploration as a platform to engage students in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM), teamwork, communication, and leadership.

Five Athletes to be inducted into MISD Hall of Legends
Midland ISD is excited to announce the Hall of Legends Class of 2021. This years class is one of the strongest ever, featuring five prominent athletes who excelled during their time at Midland ISD and beyond.

MISD Accepted Into Teacher Incentive Allotment Program
Midland ISD has received initial approval to participate in the state's Teacher Incentive Allotment program, which will give teachers the opportunity to earn extra, performance-based pay if they meet certain academic goals.

MISD Family Support Center Receives $2,000 Grant
The Midland ISD Family Support Center has received a $2,000 grant that will help the center continue supporting students and families in need. The money provided by Superior HealthPlan will fund hygiene kits that contain essential items such as laundry detergent, soap, shampoo, and deodorant.

MHS Senior Wins Tennis State Championship
Midland High's Tyler Stewart took home the gold at the UIL state tennis finals. He's the first MISD athlete to ever win a tennis singles state championship. Tyler will head continue his tennis career at Abilene Christian University this fall.

19 MISD Athletes Named to Academic All-State Teams
Midland ISD is proud to announce 19 student-athletes who were named to Academic All-State teams. The list includes All-State recognition from the Texas Girls Coaches Association and the Texas High School Coaches Association.

Board approves 2021-22 Academic Calendar
The new calendar includes two weeks of "intersession," which is a chance for students who are falling behind to receive extra help. The two weeks of intersession are the weeks of October 18 and February 7.
