Employee Ethics Hotline

Midland ISD has contracted with Lighthouse Services to provide an anonymous ethics and compliance hotline for all employees. Attached are our Ethics Hotline Guidelines with information on submitting reports. The purpose of this service is to ensure that any employee wishing to submit a report anonymously can do so without fear of retribution.

Employees are encouraged to use the hotline service in situations where anonymity is desired. Please follow the District's standard practices for all reports or issues not requiring anonymity.

Reports may cover but are not limited to the following topics:

      ∙ Ethical violations
      ∙ Unsafe working conditions
      ∙ Quality of Service
      ∙ Sexual Harassment
      ∙ Discrimination
      ∙ Alcohol and substance abuse
      ∙ Fraud
      ∙ Conflict of interest
      ∙ Theft and embezzlement
      ∙ Violation of the law
      ∙ Wrongful discharge
      ∙ Internal controls
      ∙ Vandalism and sabotage
      ∙ Falsification of reports or records
      ∙ Bribery and kickbacks
      ∙ Improper conduct
      ∙ Violation of District policy
      ∙ Misuse of District property
      ∙ Conduct violations
      ∙ Threats

Information you provide may prompt an internal and/or external investigation. Lighthouse will follow applicable laws to protect your anonymity, however revealing your identity may be inevitable during the course of the investigation. Lighthouse reports are submitted for investigation according to District policies.

Lighthouse Services toll free number and other methods of reporting are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for use by employees and staff.
