Midland ISD Police Department
The Midland Independent School District Police Department was established in 1989 to provide for the safety and security of all students, staff and those who visit our campuses. We also provide specialized services to central administration and school staffs, as they fulfill their responsibilities in providing a safe learning environment for students and a safe workplace for teachers and other district personnel. The command staff for the department include the Chief of Police, Lieutenant and Sergeant. Certified police officers and one non certified security officer, are assigned at all secondary campuses. A K-9 unit was activated during the 2016/2017 school year. Calls for service are processed by a full time dispatcher. The MISD Police Department actively trains with other area law enforcement agencies to ensure the best possible response to any situation requiring police attention.
