  • What does Communites in Schools do?

    CIS helps students improve in academics, attendance, and /or behavior. CIS encourages students to stay in school, graduate, and prepare for college and /or a career. CIS provides services resources through community partnerships to ensure a comprehensive case-management approach to meet the needs of our students.

    CIS assists with students by:

    *Feeling more confident and better about themselves

    *Dealing with life issues

    *Improving grades and attendance

    *Staying in school

    *Preparing for college and/or employment

    *Addressing social services needs

    *Finding resources

    *Hygiene products 

    *Glasses

    *Shoes

    *Pup Pantry Food for student and Family

    *Backpacks and School Supplies 

    *CIS now provides Professional Mental Health Counseling FREE of charge for students!

     

    CIS is an organization whose mission is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life!

    My role is to provide students with many resources needed to be successful in school. This includes providing supplies, helping students establish a plan for success and providing students with an adult who can help them focus and stay on track.
