• TRANSFORMATION CAMPUSES

Midland ISD has already started the work in transforming our campuses. Our initial work was the reason we were recently awarded a grant from the Texas Education Agency, to help us create a Transformation Zone. The special funding will provide select campuses with more autonomy and opportunities for innovation. Our first campus to undergo transformation is Houston Elementary, now called Sam Houston Collegiate Preparatory Elementary, where every student starts school with college as the goal. Other campuses identified for the Transformation Zone: Lamar Elementary, South Elementary, Travis Elementary, and San Jacinto Junior High.
