"What's Our Plan?" for
"What's Your Plan?"
Students are getting a little closer to planning out their future during their junior year. We will assist them in enrolling in courses that may be aligned with their career area of interest. We will challenge students to challenge themselves to the possibility of also taking college classes while they are in high school. We want all juniors to download the College Board app on their phone so that they are receiving the SAT “question of the day”. They will be supplementing their knowledge on working towards the SAT score required for college admittance and possible scholarships.
Counselors will meet with students to review 4 year plans and personal graduation goals. In the 11th grade, Generation Texas Week! in October will serve as an opportunity for staff to help students hone in on deadlines and resources for college planning. Resources found here are just some of the ways to plan for college and career lessons in the classroom.
