    Principal Jessica Varner

Hello Mustangs!  I'm Jessica Varner, the new principal for the 2019-2020 school year.  I'm excited to be joining your team, as I know we are going to have a successful year!

I was born and raised in Abilene, Texas.  I attended Abilene Christian University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Education.  I received my Master's from Lamar University in Education Administration. I am in the process of completing my dissertation through Texas Tech University.  I'm studying Language Diversity and Literacy Studies with a strand in Multilingual and Multicultural Studies.  School has always been an important part of my life, therefore I believe it is critical to be a lifelong learner

I have experience teaching elementary and middle school, serving as a Reading Facilitator on a campus, working at the district-level as an Instructional Coach, Interventionist, and Teacher Development Specialist in Abilene ISD, Lamar Consolidated ISD, Spring Branch ISD, and Houston ISD.  This last year, I served as an Assistant Principal at a high school.

I recently moved to Midland to join my fiance, Morgan Gore.  We are getting married in December and are eager to get more connected in the community!

Please reach out if you ever have any suggestions, questions, and/or concerns.  I'm here for your student, and I promise to do my best to make a difference in their educational and personal life.
