    Principal Jessica Gore
Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year, Mustangs!  I'm Jessica Gore, and this is my 2nd year to serve as your campus principal at San Jacinto.
I was born and raised in Abilene, Texas.  I attended Abilene Christian University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Education.  I received my Master's from Lamar University in Education Administration.  I'm hoping to complete my PhD this year with my dissertation providing research on the relationship between Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and the development of Balanced Literacy instruction.  School has always been an important part of my life, therefore I believe it is critical to be a lifelong learner!
I have experience teaching elementary and middle school, serving as a Reading Facilitator on a campus, working at the district-level as an Instructional Coach, Interventionist, Teacher Development Specialist, and Assistant Principal in Abilene ISD, Lamar Consolidated ISD, Spring Branch ISD, and Houston ISD.
I moved to Midland in the summer of 2019 with my husband, Morgan Gore.  We have a dog named Millie and love to eat Dairy Queen blizzards!
This year will require patience, sense of humor, grace, and flexibility!  Together, we can do "virtually" anything!  Please reach out if you ever have any suggestions, questions, and/or concerns. #HarnessthePowerWithin
