Abell Junior High Parental Involvement Policy
Abell Junior High School continually strives to improve parent involvement and satisfaction with our school. We recognize the importance of a partnership between home and school in making our students successful. To meet this goal and to be in compliance with the Title I Parental Involvement section of the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) act, Abell will implement the following Parental Involvement goals:
v Plan and schedule meetings/events that will provide opportunities for 100% parent involvement and provide information about the school and school programs.
v Plans and schedule meetings/events that will provide opportunities to implement 100% of community involvement about the school and school programs.
IN ORDER TO REACH OUR GOAL, ABELL WILL CONDUCT THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES THROUGHT THE YEAR:
v Hold a Campus Report Card Meeting with parents and community members.
v Use technology to improve home-school communication
v 6th Grade Parent Orientation
v Open House
v Personal Graduation Plans
v Inform parents about the facts of bullying
v Spring Parent Night
v Parent and community representative on CEIC
v Parent night for Avid students in the Fall and Spring
v Avid Banquet at the end of the year
