Washington STEM Academy is a Kindergarten through 6th grade magnet school committed to building a strong learning culture within a diverse and inclusive environment. Our goal is to transform students’ awareness of themselves and others so connections are made between academic, social and emotional learning to prepare for the challenges of college and career. Building strong relationships with students and parents enables high expectations for behavior and academic progress to be met in a safe learning environment. Washington STEM Academy is proud to be a Project Lead the Way School (PLTW) with learning modules focused on Bioscience, Engineering and Computing. All students participate in this Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) program to develop problem solving and critical thinking skills within a problem-based learning setting. Learning at Washington STEM Academy combines the best of a whole child approach with problem solving in real-world scenarios.

Washington STEM Academy provides a rigorous academic program that integrates hands-on, inquiry-based instruction in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Students explore, investigate, and experiment in enriching labs and in the Outdoor Learning Center.  Our extensive science program includes two indoor science labs and an outdoor science learning center allowing for an expansion of classroom instruction and experiments for all students.
