Our Goals

As members of the education community, MISD Transportation Department's Bus Drivers and Monitors will serve as an example for student riders by presenting a professional image, providing positive interactions, and maintaining a safe and clean school bus environment.

The Department's goal is to gain public confidence through courteous and safe operation of district vehicles by observing all traffic laws, using defensive driving, maintaining route reliability, and dealing with all customers and the public in a respectful and professional manner.

The Transportation Call Center has been put in place in order to better serve the needs of the community. During regular hours of operation, the Call Center has staff members available to take calls in the order that they are received. Staff members will be able to answer your questions in regard to transportation. All calls that come into Transportation Services are recorded. The number listed below is the number to call; if it is busy, it will roll over to another line that will be answered by the next available person. Your calls are important to us at MISD Transportation. We realize there is a high volume of calls at times and this feature will ensure that your call is handled in the most timely and efficient manner possible.
