WHAT IS TALENT DEVELOPMENT?

Talent development is the organizational process of helping staff for career advancement in a way that aligns with the district’s mission. This includes identifying staff’s aptitude and goals and helping them develop the knowledge and skills they need to achieve those goals and fill the needs of the district. Talent development program activities can range from mentoring and coaching to formal training, leadership development, succession planning, on-the-job learning and more.
