2024-2025 EAS & AP Required Summer Reading

If you are an incoming 8th - 12th grader taking an EAS or AP Advanced Academic English course during the 2024-2025 school year, the following information will help you prepare for the beginning of the year. Midland ISD has created a unified assignment for each grade level that will be used during the first week of school. The novel should be read independently before the first day of school. There are suggestions from your teacher within the document about what to do while you read to prepare for the upcoming assignment. You may purchase the book from any bookstore, find a PDF or audio version, or reach out to the teacher on your campus, and they can get you a copy if needed.
