Parent Advisory Council
What Is a Parent Advisory Council for Special Services?
A Parent Advisory Council (PAC) for Special Services is a group of parents and guardians who work in partnership with the school district to improve educational experiences for students who receive services through Special Education and Section 504. The council serves as a voice for families, offering feedback, sharing concerns, and supporting collaboration between parents, educators, and district leadership.
This council helps:
-
Promote communication between families and the district
-
Provide input on programs, policies, and services
-
Support parent education and engagement opportunities
-
Advocate for inclusive, high-quality support for all students with disabilities or accommodations
PAC members may attend regular meetings, participate in discussions about district initiatives, and help inform decisions that impact student success. The goal is to ensure that all students receiving Special Services are supported in reaching their full potential in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
For the 25-26 school year, the PAC will meet on the dates and times below. All meetings are held at MISD Administration Building, 615 W. Missouri Avenue, Room 101. Information will be posted on the Midland ISD Special Services Facebook page. Topics will vary.
