Midland ISD Police Department
The Midland ISD Police Department, established in 1989, is committed to the safety and security of all students, staff, and visitors across district campuses. The department is staffed by fully commissioned officers with full arrest authority under Texas Education Code section 37.081. Our officers investigate criminal activities, assist with safety concerns, and work closely with campus administrators to ensure a secure environment.
To enhance security, Midland ISD utilizes electronic access controls, camera surveillance, The Centegix Safety Platform along with the RAPTOR visitor management system, which helps identify potential risks by screening for registered sex offenders and other restricted individuals. Additionally, the department utilizes a trained K-9 unit to prevent drug-related activity on campuses.
