Program Overview

Support when employees need it most

The program allows active Midland ISD employees to voluntarily donate accrued local or state leave days to an eligible colleague experiencing a qualifying catastrophic illness or injury.

Purpose

Donated leave may help an eligible employee remain in paid status after all accrued paid leave has been exhausted.

Who may donate

Active employees with available accumulated local or state leave may voluntarily donate leave, subject to the annual donation limit.

Donation limit

An employee may donate no more than five total local or state leave days during a school year.

Confidentiality

Donor information is kept confidential. Recipients are not provided the names of employees who donate leave.

Important

Donations are voluntary and are not guaranteed. Submission of a request does not automatically establish eligibility or guarantee that donated leave days will be available.
