GT Programs
Midland ISD is proud to offer two GT programs for identified elementary GT students, Carver Center and GEM 2.0.
Identification criteria is the same for both elementary programs. Once identified, parents have the choice of which program they would like their student to attend.
For more information on Carver Center, click here or visit their website.

GEM 2.0 is a weekly pull-out program for identified students in grades 1 - 6 who opt to stay at their current campus. GEM 2.0 students are bussed to Bowie or Scharbauer one day per week to work with the GEM 2.0 teacher and identified students from across the district.
GEM 2.0 gives students an opportunity to explore in depth into fields of high interest. GEM 2.0 will also help cultivate 21st century problem solving skills. This can lead students to understand more about what they may want to study or what careers are available in different fields.
