G/T Transfers
G/T identified students transferring from districts where prior G/T services were provided may request G/T Transfer status BEFORE MOVING BUT NO LATER THAN 3 (three) weeks after the date of MISD enrollment.

Elementary services (grades 1-6) are provided at Carver Center. Secondary services are available at each secondary campus (grades 7-12).
Your child must have been receiving G/T services in the district from which they are transferring.
The parent must provide the following documents or the name of a contact person from the transferring district who can provide them :
- Documentation of acceptance in the previous GT program
- Copies of test scores from nationally normed standardized tests that were administered during the prior district's identification process.
- Test scores from state accountability tests such as the STAAR and scores from private campuses are reviewed in relation to the initial identification of the prior district or the current MISD process.
- NOTE: Every district designates GT qualifications. Transfer students may need to be rescreened to meet Midland ISD’s identification measures.
