Our Goals

Our custodians are trained in quality cleaning techniques and the efficient use of equipment and materials. We strive to maintain a clean, professional, efficient, and safe environment for all students, staff, and the community.

Custodial Services Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning of over 3,736,300 square feet of Midland ISD buildings
• Evening custodians clean an average of 335,017 square feet every night.
• Daytime custodians open buildings, clean up after breakfast, check campus heating/AC, work lunch duty, check restrooms throughout the day, and respond to any radio calls. Custodians pick up outside trash around the campus ground and maintain their assigned area.
• Custodians stet up and/or tear down for school and on-school scheduled events.
• During the summer, custodians perform restorative cleaning that cannot be done during the school year (high dusting, restroom care, floor care, carpet care) and furniture moves within the school.
