Emergency Procedures

Midland ISD has developed a comprehensive Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) designed to address a wide range of natural and human-made threats through proactive awareness, preparedness, and collaboration. We understand the importance of regularly reviewing and updating these plans, which is why we engage in ongoing discussions with local law enforcement, first responders, and other agencies during our school safety committee meetings to ensure we remain ready for any situation.

We have established comprehensive emergency training and response protocols to ensure that both students and staff know how to act in a crisis. Periodic drills are conducted to reinforce these procedures and ensure everyone is prepared and familiar with the necessary steps.

 it is essential that parents wait for guidance from Midland ISD. The safety of our students is always at the forefront of our decision-making. If an emergency occurs while school is in session, MISD will take immediate action to communicate with all stakeholders.
