Career and Technical Education
Midland ISD offers a robust Career & Technical Education (CTE) program for students in grades 9-12, along with several pre-STEM and career exploration courses for students in grades 7-8. By reinforcing state and national academic standards, Midland ISD's CTE courses provide students with exposure to and training in career areas of direct interest, preparing them for future success.

The January CTE student spotlight is on Hunter Aguillon. Hunter excels in culinary skills, work ethic, teamwork, and leadership. His advanced techniques consistently exceed expectations in class and catering events. Passionate and eager to learn, he tackles complex tasks with excellence.
Reliable and proactive, he takes initiative, assists peers, and goes the extra mile at events. His professionalism sets a high standard. A strong team player, he collaborates effectively and resolves conflicts constructively. As a leader, he guides peers and leads by example, earning the respect of students and teachers alike. Hunter was recommended by Teacher Jenni Woerndle at Legacy High School.
