Grants for Great Minds

Grants for Great Minds is a $500 scholarship for higher education degrees or teacher certification. Available for 3 semester funding opportunities. 

We are proud to support teachers and staff pursuing higher education degrees that will enhance their skills to benefit all Midland students. 

Requirements: Full Time MISD employees pursuing an advanced degree at an accredited educator preparation program (institute of higher education or alternative certification program). The grant is available for bachelor's, master's or doctoral work as well as teacher or principal certification.

2026 Spring applications are now open.  Spring applications will close on November 1, 2025.
