District of Innovation

Midland ISD began its journey as a District of Innovation in 2018. The District of Innovation is a designation, as defined by the Texas Legislature, that allows school districts to qualify for certain exemptions from the Texas Education Code. The Board voted to renew the DOI designation in May of 2023.
