Alamo Junior High

All students will graduate prepared and ready for college or career.

Alamo Junior High School

  • At Alamo Jr. High, we acknowledge that junior high is a pivotal time for students both academically and socially. Our goal is to ensure a successful and seamless transition from junior high into high school by creating confident, well-rounded students who will utilize their skillsets to excel academically and socially. Our teachers encourage critical thinking and create a collaborative culture of learning and problem solving skills in order to prepare our students for their next levels of education. Finally, and as with all Midland ISD campuses, we utilize a productive partnership between students, parents, Alamo Jr. High staff members, and school community members to ensure that our students receive the best education possible in West Texas.

  • Alamo JH Family,

The Center for Effective Schools (which is an initiative of the Texas Education Agency) has begun to administer feedback surveys to families across the state. Your views on matters like the way students at school are taught, and your and your student’s connection to school are crucial. These surveys will give you a unique opportunity to provide anonymous feedback about your experiences in these areas and others.

The survey window is open this week, and we are asking you to complete this survey and help leadership at Alamo JH make school improvements. You will be able to access our school’s brief, 10-minute survey by going to and choosing the school – Alamo JH (Midland ISD) from a dropdown menu. Once again, anything you share will be completely anonymous. Also, students on campus will participate in a similar survey in the days to come.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our school’s survey coordinator, Melanie Hall (Alamo JH – Asst. Principal).  We appreciate your participation - Go Scouts!
