Lamar Elementary

We invite you and your child to become Lamar Stars! Our mission is to provide our students with opportunities intended to meet their individual needs and maximize their potential to become successful life long learners. Named after Texas's "Father of Education" Mirabeau B. Lamar, Lamar Elementary school opened in 1951 at the corner of Kessler Avenue and Peach Street in west Midland. The school is home to nearly 600 K-6th Graders, with educational opportunities for the gifted/talented, bilingual/ELL, dyslexia, speech and learning disabilities. At Lamar Elementary we believe every child can achieve success.
