• G/T Transfers

    G/T identified students transferring from districts where prior G/T services were provided may request G/T Transfer status BEFORE MOVING BUT NO LATER THAN 3 (three) weeks after the date of MISD enrollment.  The following link must be completed during the previously stated timeframe:  CLICK HERE TO REQUEST A G/T TRANSFER FORM. Elementary services (grades 1-6) are provided at Carver Center.  Secondary services are available at each secondary campus (grades 7-12).

    Your child must have been receiving G/T services in the district from which they are transferring.

    Parent must provide the following documents or a contact from the transferring district who can provide them :

    • Documentation of acceptance in the previous GT program
    • Copies of test scores from nationally normed standardized tests that were administered at school. 
    • Test scores from state accountability tests such as the STAAR and scores from private sources are not used for initial identification.
    • NOTE: Every district designates GT qualifications.  Transfer students may need to be rescreened to meet Midland ISD’s identification measures.
