• Aligned to our mission, commencement attire including cowls, cords, medals, or stoles will be approved when recognized as being “prepared and ready for college or career” under one or more of the following criteria:

    • Graduates who have earned honors or awards through grade point calculation according to district policy and/or regulations.

    • Graduates who have met one or more CCMR criteria, including enlisting in a branch of the armed forces (one cord represents one or more criteria).

    • Graduates who are members of a state or national/international organization recognized by the campus and district for scholarship, service, or leadership as approved by the principal and executive director of secondary schools with consultation by the superintendent’s cabinet.

    • Graduates who have completed a recognized pathway towards post-secondary or career certification or state-recognized certificate.

    • Graduates who have met the requirements to letter in academics or a campus fine arts or athletics program or who have distinguished themselves through representing the campus in co-curricular or extra-curricular events.

    • Graduates who have exhibited leadership, scholarship or service through academic or leadership programs serving the mission of the campus and district as approved by the principal and executive director of secondary schools with consultation by the superintendent’s cabinet.
