• The Family Support Center is collaborating with non-profit agencies throughout the city to provide things like food, clothing (including school uniforms), legal assistance, a variety of counseling services, and other resources.
Welcome packs for new families can even include essentials like soap and shampoo, toothpaste, towels, pots and pans, socks and underwear.
The Family Support Center has already provided assistance to more than 50 families. Student Services is currently in the process of preparing a hospitality area at Central Office that will welcome families seeking assistance.
Families visiting the Student Services Department at MISD’s Central Office will be greeted with a brand new Family Support Center. This area provides a safe and comfortable place for parents and students while they work with counselors to get the resources they need. The Family Support Center evaluates each family’s needs independently, and can provide basic necessities, as well as put them in touch with other area agencies that provide further support. If you or someone you know needs assistance, please contact us by calling 432-240-1520, or at familysupportcenter@midlandisd.net.
