• Advanced Placement examinations are exams offered by the College Board and are taken each May by students. The tests are the culmination of year-long Advanced Placement (AP) courses. AP exams (with few exceptions[1]) have a multiple-choice section and a free-response section. These tests allow students to gain college credit. The score given ranges from a 0-5.  Most colleges and universities will accept a 3 as a passing score. Unlike, dual credit where you must pay a university for the course. The credits you earn for an AP class are free. The only cost is the testing fee. However, Midland ISD will incur the testing fee for 2019-2020 School year. This is amazing for our students!!!
