        • Families that are not interested in an online option do not need to submit an application via Apply Midland.
      • When will the application for Midland ISD Online applications be available?

      • How long will the Midland ISD Online Academy application window be open?
        • The Midland ISD Online Academy application will close on August 14th at midnight.
      • Why is this timeline so short?
        • Schools will need to build out schedules for students for both the virtual option and the in-person option and identify teachers that will teach in-person or provide instruction online. Additionally, this will provide schools enough time to slot students and teachers into the correct sections for the first day of school.
      • Which schools will be included on the application on August 3rd?

      • What happens after I submit my application to the Midland ISD Online Academy at my home campus?
        • Student Services will process your application to verify that you have applied to the correct campus.
        • Campuses will reach out to parents directly to provide them guidance on their next steps.
      • What if I am new to the district and have not registered for a campus?
        • Families are advised to complete their registration in Skyward at their neighborhood school before using the Apply Midland to select a virtual option.
      • If I choose the Midland ISD Online Academy versus on-campus learning, and I decide that I don’t like the virtual platform, can my child change to on-campus instruction?
        • Students are eligible to transition between virtual and on-campus learning at the end of each grading period

      • If my student is on a school’s waitlist when will I hear if he or she will be offered a seat?
        • Offers will come from Apply Midland if and when a seat is available.
        • It’s important to remember that even if a student is on the waitlist they may not receive an offer for a seat.
      • Do waitlists expire?
        • Yes, the waitlist for magnet schools and schools of choice expires at the end of October. If you are interested in attending a school you were waitlisted at you will need to submit an application for the following school year.
