Long Term Disability

Long-Term Disability (LTD) Insurance pays you a portion of your earnings if you cannot work because of a disabling illness or injury. You have the opportunity to purchase Long-Term Disability Insurance through MISD.

Coverage Options

You may purchase coverage that will pay you a monthly benefit of 30%, 40%, 50% or 60% of your monthly income, to a maximum monthly benefit of $7,500. Your plan includes a minimum benefit of the greater of 10% of your elected benefit or $100.

If you choose not to elect coverage during your annual enrollment period, you will not be eligible to elect coverage until the next annual enrollment period without a qualifying change in family status.
