WELLNESS PROGRAM

At Midland ISD, our staff is our most valuable asset, and your time and health are important to us. With the rising cost of healthcare, prescription drugs, and insurance rates, we have partnered with iaWellness to offer a program designed to educate and motivate you towards a healthy lifestyle while helping you save on your health insurance premiums.
iaWellness provides free health screenings, education, and health guidance for you, as well as access to a wellness portal to help you track your points and activities. You may access the wellness portal by clicking the link below:

Is there an incentive for joining MISD's Wellness Program?
Yes, employees that join the program and successfully complete the requirements earn a $75 monthly premium discount on their health insurance.

What are the requirements to participate in MISD's Wellness Program?
Employees are required to complete the following:
- Activate their wellness portal to manage their activities and points
- Complete an online Health Assessment Form on the wellness portal
- Watch a short wellness video that explains the program
- Earn 750 points by recording health choices and
- Complete an annual wellness screening that includes a blood draw & measurements

What if I do not meet ALL the requirements?
Employees that are unable to complete ALL the requirements by the designated deadline will have their monthly premiums adjusted to reflect a $75 monthly increase in their premiums.

I did not complete my requirements by the designated deadline, should I continue to try and complete the requirements?
Yes, employees that do not complete all their wellness requirements should continue to earn their points and complete the requirements in order to be eligible for the wellness discount in the following year.

I did not complete my wellness requirements for this year, can I get back into the wellness program during open enrollment?
Depends. Employees will be able to enroll in the wellness program during open enrollment. However, an audit will be conducted in September. If all the requirements were not met the previous year, then the employee's premiums will be adjusted to reflect the non-wellness premiums. If the requirements were met the previous year, just not by the deadline, then the employee would be eligible to earn the discounted premium for the new school year

I earned my points and completed my steps this year, am I done?
No. Please keep in mind all requirements are to be completed in order to be eligible for the premium discount for the following school year.
Our health plan runs from 9/1-8/31 yearly.
The requirements start over each year on September 1st.
