Parents, Students, and Community Members:
I am the Assistant Principal for Midland Alternative Program (MAP) and working with our students here is my greatest privilege and honor. It is my desire to create a positive and creative learning environment where all students are valued and successful. Students will be encouraged and challenged to grow, both academically and personally. I will be assisting them in various facets of the educational process.
Learning is a life-long endeavor and crucial to successful achievements. Nelson Mandela stated, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." I firmly embrace this philosophy and love helping students reach their goals and follow their dreams. I also thoroughly enjoy collaborating with teachers to enhance their skills so that they can be highly successful, master instructors and "Merchants of Hope" for students.
My greatest joys in life are my loving family, my wonderful friends, and being an educator. At heart, I've always been a teacher; it's in my blood. Here at MAP, we seek to be a champion for our students so that they become champions themselves. This enables them to reap the rewards of a superb education and attain success. Each day engenders its own gifts and challenges, but as Rita Pearson so eloquently affirmed, "We're educators. We were born to make a difference!" It's our responsibility and privilege to assist in any way possible and to provide the highest quality education obtainable. One thing is absolutely certain, I love our students and they are all champions! If I can serve you in any way, please let me know.
