    The National Honor Society is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serve to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since their beginnings in 1921.

    Eleventh grade students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 5.0 scale are invited to join in October of each year and inducted in November.
