• Kellie Spencer serves as Midland ISD’s Acting Superintendent and Chief of Administrative Services. In her role as Chief of Administrative Services, a position she has held since 2020, Spencer oversees multiple operational aspects of the school district including technology, student services, maintenance, transportation, custodial, child nutrition services and student data services. Notable initiatives under her tenure include the installation of RO water fountains district-wide, creation of a preventative maintenance plan, and plans to upgrade and install new air conditioning systems in select facilities. 

    Prior to joining Midland ISD, Spencer served in a variety of roles at Cedar Hill ISD for more than 20 years. Her experience spans serving as a classroom teacher, to director of special services and Deputy Superintendent.  
    Spencer received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Texas A&M-Commerce. She and her husband have three children, including a son who attends Legacy High School and daughter at Abell Junior High.
