Scott Skidmore
Good morning Dawgs and Dawg parents.

I am Scott Skidmore and I look forward to an exciting year at Midland High School. This is my fourth year as a math teacher at MHS. I will be teaching College Math Preparation and TAKS based Geometry.
I am a native Midlander and a 1967 graduate of LHS. I am a sixth generation Texan. My relatives came to Texas with their good friend Davy Crockett. I have an original land grant that was signed by Anson Jones just six days before Texas became a state. My son was an all state football player for Greenwood and now coaches at Cleburn High School. My daughter(Celeste) and two grandchildren,T J who is fourteen and Hailey who is twelve, live here in Midland. I enjoy dancing, golf, working on my ancestry, and playing games on the computer.
I have worked as an administor with the district for thirteen years before retiring and have taught math classes at Midland College for the last nineteen years.  In addition to teaching at Midland High School, I will continue to teach classes at Midland College at night.
Mathematics will focus on three main ideas this year.
    1) Students will complete every learning activity or assignment
    2) Students will be more actively engaged in learning activities at higher levels
    3) Assessment will be based on the students observed success level of learning the TEKS
