I am the librarian at LFHS Library. I received a Bachelors in English with a minor in Education from Texas Tech University in May, 1993. I received a Masters in Library Science from the University of North Texas in December, 2004. Although this is my first year at LFHS, I have been in education for 19 years. I taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade reading and 6th grade English for 7 years in Seagraves before becoming their librarian. I am excited to begin my 13th year in one of the most dynamic and essential areas of education!
On a personal note, I am married to Bryan, a wonderful husband. We have no children; however, we do have 11 critters who we have adopted as our children. I have 2 donkeys, 2 goats, 2 dogs, 4 cats, and a parrot. My husband likes to refer to me as "Ellie Mae"--if you ever have seen the Beverly Hillbillies, you know that reference! Animals somehow find me, and I adopt them! We moved to Midland this past summer and are happily settling in. We look forward to becoming an integral part of the Midland community, and I am thrilled to be part of LFHS and the fantastic Midland ISD library staff!
