The Technology and Information Management Department of Midland ISD provides support for the technology used by the district. Areas of responsibility:
Computer Systems staff members provide support for the District’s Wide Area Network, servers, Internet and e-mail access, and the installation of software.
Instructional Technology provides training for all staff on the use of technology and for teachers and other instructional staff in the use of technology in the classroom.
Mainframe Interface staff members provide training to district personnel on the use of the database, extract data to produce report cards, attendance records, and other reports, and submit data required by the state and federal governments.
Student Records provides a system for storing records and distributing them as students transfer in or out of Midland ISD and processes requests for older transcripts that are no longer kept at the high schools.
Telecommunications provides support for District telephones, satellite, and distance learning equipment.
