Our counselor spends time counseling with students on an individual basis, provides group guidance to students in classrooms and confers with teachers and parents to help students succeed. Counseling services are available to any student unless specifically prohibited by written request from the parent or guardian. Parent permission is required for any student participating in group counseling sessions or other group activities. All MISD school counselors hold a professional certificate in counseling issued by the Texas Education Agency. Please feel free to come by the school and meet the counselor.
