"WILLIAM B. TRAVIS"
Originally built in 1952, Travis Elementary has several additions over its lifetime. A new "main" building was opened in January, 1998. As a historical legacy, three of the original five cement casts of animals were placed at the front of the building.
"MISSION STATEMENT"
The mission of Travis Elementary School is to provide every student a quality academic education, concentrated on reading, language arts, science, mathematics, and social studies. We will maintain a safe and orderly campus and well-managed classrooms by teaching appropriate citizenship skills and recognizing and reinforcing appropriate student behavior. We will continue to encourage and enlist parent participation in the educational process as well as all school activities.
