We, the faculty of Midland Freshman High School, believe that our primary purposes are teaching and learning and that our school should provide an inclusive program which not only fosters these endeavors, but also meets the needs of all students. We are committed to stating and enforcing high expectations for students and to using valid assessment procedures to determine that maximum achievement levels have been attained. We accept the responsibility of assisting students to recognize their strengths by choosing realistic goals. This responsibility of insuring that students reach their intellectual, social, physical, economic, and moral potential is shared by students, parents, teachers, and administrators. We support the principle that all students are capable of learning and mastering the concepts and skills essential for their success in high school and in the future. We pledge to provide a positive, safe, and orderly climate in which students will learn the competency requisite to productive citizenship in a democratic society. Through strict adherence to these beliefs we intend to increase both the effectiveness and efficiency of our programs.
