| | CONSTRUCTION HAS BEGUN! |
Construction has officially begun at Sam Houston Elementary. During this approximately 9-month process, our #1 goal is to keep students and staff SAFE!
In order to accomplish this, certain changes must occur and flexibility is necessary. All access to the service drive from the stadium parking lot, staff parking area, and courtyard is restricted. This construction zone is off limits to all students, parents, and staff. Only authorized personnel with hard hats and protective eyewear will be allowed.
Beginning April 11, 2008, students who enter the school from the north (stadium parking lot) may enter through the north-facing pod doors at the ramp. This door will be locked at the 8:10 tardy bell and remain locked throughout the day.
Students who enter the school from the south (Louisiana Street) may continue to enter through that main entrance.
All students that arrive after 8:10 must enter through the main entrance off of Louisiana Street.
Visitors who come to Sam Houston during the day will need to enter through the main entrance as well. As always, all visitors should go directly to the office to check in with their driver's license and recieve a visitor's tag.
